As gaeilge Eiscir Riada, the Esker Riada is a system of low-lying ridges which formed at the end of the last ice age. The ridges stretch across the middle of Ireland, passing through the counties of Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Westmeath, Offaly, Roscommon and Galway.
The hand carved ridges extend continuously over the entirety of each piece, accentuating the natural grain pattern in the timber beautifully.
